A place where a sense of timelessness is magnified by the kindness of the people. Your experience of Cyprus can be as varied and rewarding as the geography of the island itself. Starting with the sea: There are beaches in Cyprus to suit just about everybody, from families with small children to seekers of solitude. The mountainous interior, the Troodos, offers an alluring contrast to the coast that shouldn’t be overlooked. Bracing pine-scented air, hiking trails and Byzantine churches are just some of the treasures to be found here. It is also possible to experience firsthand the village life of the hill towns. By the beach or further afield, in the towns or storied countryside, the distinctive culture of Cyprus is always close at hand.

Famagusta...... is situated on the eastern coast where the Cypriot weather is always at its best. Where one can find peace among the golden sandy beaches and rugged cliffs of the surrounding coastline. The attractive scenery includes the small fishing harbour of Agia Napa also the famous Medieval Monastery with its 16th century church which is situated in the heart of Agia Napa, and of course the windmills and small churches in the surrounding villages.

Agia Thekla........ is just 10 minutes along the coast from Agia Napa with all its shops, tavernas and local life. On the other side of Agia Thekla, just 5 minutes away, is the fishing village of Potamos, Liopetri, with its local fishing boats and excellent fish tavernas. Additionally, just a 5 minutes drive away is the local Ayia Thekla beach, Church and WaterWorld, the largest water park in Cyprus. Permission has been granted for the construction of a new Marina, which will bring a great increase of yacht owners and high quality visitors to the areas of Agia Thekla, Agia Napa, Protaras, Paralimni. These are very popular summer resorts in the Mediterranean and ideal retirement spots for anyone who wishes to experience the culture, natural beauty and genuine hospitality of Cyprus..

Paralimni...... The town of Paralimni with its sea resort of Protaras has long golden beaches and the coast of Cape Greco with its unusual rock formations nearby will particularly impress.

Ormideia......... is a large village in the eastern part of the Larnaca District with a commanding church of Agios Constantinos. In the 18th century it was a major tourist centre for the many merchants and diplomats resident in Larnaca. Ormideia is famous for fruit-growing oranges, lemons and grapefruits.

Whether you come for your holidays or whether you intend to stay as a permanent resident, Ormideia has a lot to offer. As a traditional village and not an artificial tourist development, it provides almost everything you need and expect: from shops to restaurants and from schools to leisure activities. And if there is anything you cannot find in Ormideia, then it will be within easy reach.

The A3 motorway, which passes the outskirts of the village (but which is not visible from the village) takes you to the town of Larnaca (about 28 km), the airport of Larnaca (about 36 km), the capital Nicosia (about 60 km), the tourist centres of Agia Napa (about 20 km) and Protaras (about 32 km) or the south-eastern end of the island: Cape Greco (about 40 km). If you have no car, a regular bus service will take you there.

The coast, which is ideal for fishing, is only about 2 km away, and a small fishing harbour about 3 km. Just 5km from the village, there is a beach with shop and cafe facilities as well as a full watersports programme.

Frenaros...... is an inland village on the southeastern side of Cyprus that is well known for the many wells which the village had in ancient times as well as its Byzantine churches.

Although Frenaros is apart from the busier towns of Protaras and Ayia Napa it is not isolated.  Frenaros is situated to the west of Paralimni, 4km southwest of Derynia, 3.5km northwest of Sotira, 8km east of Avgorou and 5km northeast of Liopetri. The main road takes you directly to the coast in about 20 minutes and Larnaca is just a half an hour drive away.

The centre of the village has the usual supermarkets and shops and there are many of the services that you would expect to find in a larger place. Frenaros has an inherent charm and hospitality and is a perfect choice for peace, relaxation and privacy.

Sotira...... is well known for its unique Byzantine churches, monuments, lake, and  wonderful winter wildlife.  It is a quiet, pleasant village, which offers all the amenities of a modern community but retains to a great extent its traditional Cypriot character….. perfect for those who would prefer a home away from the tourist areas but with quick access to the coast should they feel like a day on the beach. Sotira is ideally located as it is within only a few kilometres of the beach areas.

There are all the local amenities one would expect of a village, while it is still within a short drive away from the main local town of Paralimni and the well known resorts of Ayia Napa and Protaras…. This places shopping, banking and entertainment all within easy reach of the village.  The village has a thriving centre with supermarkets, boutiques and some really excellent tavernas.

Xylofagou...... The village of Xylofagou is approximately 25km from Larnaca town, and 10km from Agia Napa, and it is within easy reach of the gorgeous beaches of Larnaca.
Xylofagou is a thriving and growing village in Cyprus, and both private and business property is at a premium and does not remain empty for long. There is plenty to do and see. In the village you will find local tavernas and restaurants serving the famous Meze, Post Office, banks, chemists, schools and local shops, but most importantly you will find the people friendly.
